The second year in a row “LDZ ritošā sastāva serviss” (RSS) participates in the initiative Sustainability Index organized by the Institute of Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility, and this year in the framework of the initiative RSS has received three important awards - an excellent assessment of the company’s business operations.
This year RSS has been granted the Sustainability Index’s Silver Category Award, which is a category higher evaluation than the year before and confirms the company's good practice in the area of corporate governance, work environment, market relations, environmental protection and community support.
RSS has also been recognized this year’s “Sustainability Champion” - the company with the most rapid development during the year and responsible attitude towards the environment.
In addition, the company has also been granted The Award of the Ministry of Welfare - the title - “Family- friendly Merchant” that is awarded to the companies, which implement family-friendly policy both within its own company and in the wider community, for example, when providing services ensures appropriate environment.
Chairman of the Board of RSS Edgars Abrams stressed: “During the last two years we have made an enormous step in our company’s development. The road to it has been difficult; therefore I would like to thank the whole team of “LDZ ritošā sastāva serviss” for altruistic and professional work. The three awards are proof to our professionalism and a stimulus to future growth and development, also giving a contribution to the development of Latvian business.”
The above awards were received within the framework of the “Responsible Business Week” organized by the Institute of Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility; the main theme of the week this year was employee welfare at work place.
Any organization or company interested in sharing their experience, knowledge and the good deeds can participate at "Responsible Business Week", thus also facilitating development of responsible business in the local community.
Sustainability index is based on an internationally recognized methodology and it is a management tool that helps Latvian companies to determine sustainability of their businesses and corporate social responsibility level.
